PROGRAMS & PROJECTS.

R. E . F. U. E. L.

Rest |  Eat |  Fun | Unity | Exercise |  Love

Providing resources and experiences that cultivate optimal mental, physical, and emotional wellbeing through the following initiatives:

Refuel Stations:

In partner schools, these stations give young athletes access to healthy snacks, hydration, stress-relief tools, and mental health resources.

Mindfulness s Self-Care:

Integrating mental wellness education, yoga, and mindfulness practices into classrooms and sports conditioning programs to teach lifelong coping skills.

Youth Camp with NFL Alum Preston Brown:

A sports-based summer program serving 100+ youth with mentorship, teamwork, and wellness-focused experiences that strengthen both body and mind.

A.R.T. (Achieve | Resilience | Thrive):

Harnessing the power of the arts to help young people process emotions, discover their voice, and build confidence. Initiatives include:

Art in Schools:

In partnership with University of Cincinnati Conservatory of Music Prep Delivering community-rooted, immersive music, theatre, and creative movement instruction to support wellness in schools with the greatest needs. Aligned with Ohio’s Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) standards and National Core Arts Standards, A.R.T. nurtures resilience as students explore emotions and develop confidence through artistic expression, helping them manage stress, build confidence, and develop lifelong skills.

A Window Between Worlds:

Trauma-informed art experiences led by a certified Windows facilitator. The hands-on creation of art has been shown to reduce distress, increase self-reflection and self-awareness, alter behavior and thinking patterns, have positive physical effects and build resilience.

Mentoring & Training:

When children have mentors and adults trained to support mental health, they gain guidance, encouragement, and critical skills to navigate challenges. Initiatives include:

Rally Champs Mentoring:

Connecting students, centering student-athletes, with caring adult mentors who show up where it matters most—on the sidelines, in classrooms and the community - helping youth build confidence and sense of belonging. Creating positive social connections with caring adults and inspiring youth to reach their full potential.

Youth Mental Health First Aid Training:

In partnership with the National Council of Mental Wellbeing. An international evidence-based training - Certified instructors equip teachers, coaches, and trusted adults with tools to recognize, respond to, and support young people facing mental health and substance use challenges.
